The aim of the Green Fleet Experience is to introduce new sailors to racing, build their confidence and integrate them into the regatta scene. The focus is first on fun as well as learning starting techniques and how a race and regatta work. Green Fleet experience will comprise lecture, a practice race, racing and a debrief, repeated over two days.
Coaches and clubs will use the extended Green Fleet program to bridge the gap between their learn-to-sail schemes and the racing squads, giving sailors a target to aim for. Parents are welcome to get involved, no sailing experience necessary!
